Live Your Dream: Education and Training Awards for Women

One of dozens of scholarships designed specifically for students who are single parents, the Soroptimist International of the Americas “dream” scholarships are available to mothers who are primary wage earners and are pursuing higher-level information.

Each year the organization offers region-level scholarships for $3,000 and $5,000. Region-level award winners are then eligible for one for three international level awards of $10,000.

Scholarship Eligibility and Conditions

Eligible students must be residents of one of 19 Soroptimist International of the Americas member nations, which include the U.S., Canada and Mexico. 



Although attending school as an adult is often intimidating, and the financial burden can seem insurmountable, there are more funding options available to non-traditional students than ever before.

About Fisher College

Fisher College is an accredited, independent college offering bachelor and associate degrees. The college is located in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts.

Unlike with "traditional" high school-to-college students, the majority of scholarships offered to adult learners are offered through companies and professional organizations. There is also no high school guidance counselor to walk you through the process, so it takes a bit more individual legwork to find and apply for scholarships and grants.
